Many children these days spend more time in front of screens than outside! But outside is where our kids begin to learn how the world works, the basis of science, and how nature provides for our needs as humans.
The outdoors are an incredible, and fun, place for children to spend their free time! It is education in and of itself and Ginny helps homeschool moms discover that through her podcast and now her book.
This book makes being outside simple. It gives you the tools and activities you need to keep your children entertained and engaged so you can all enjoy the outdoors and spend 1,000 hours doing so!

Reading is another important and crucial skill that our children need to learn and then do over and over again! It helps develop their brain and imagination in so many ways.
Our library is my favorite place to go in our free time and my children love it. They can discover new books which lead to new adventures and new ideas. Our library has a “1,000 books by kindergarten” program they encourage parents to participate in.
But, sometimes it can be hard to know what books to check out from the library. That’s why this book is one of the homeschool mom books you need.
It gives book lists in categories with quick summaries so you can pick out the best books for your children to read while they learn about the world!

As homeschool moms, we know that learning is more than just sitting behind a desk and reciting back facts. It’s real-world interaction, problem-solving, and knowledge not always found in textbooks.
Learning is often best done through hands-on approaches. I know this to be true because I fell for the college scam. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Business Management degree with two emphases and a pre-law minor; however, after college, I still felt lost and trapped not knowing what to do with my life.
