  1. The Complete Family Guide To Homeopathy: An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Safe and Effective Remedies by Christopher Hammond

Even if you don’t have a family of your own yet, this book is still wonderful to have on your shelf. It has brightly colored illustrations and easy-to-read guides filled with common ailments and instructions on how to treat them with homeopathy.

The book is divided into four main parts: the first is all about the history and understanding of homeopathy, the second is a materia medica for easy reference, the third is about making homeopathy practical and how to implement it, and the fourth is all easy-to-read charts and guides.

I love that nothing about this book is boring. It is so fascinating to read and flip through. I also appreciate the first aid section, which includes other natural remedies apart from homeopathy. An example would be applying calendula oil to a burn, which is an herbal remedy.

I love that even my kids can read and understand it, making it one of the great homeopathy books for beginners. Our family will have this book on our shelf for years to come!

  1. Homeopathy 911: What to Do in an Emergency Before Help Arrives by Eileen Nauman and Gail Derin-Kellogg

After a couple of chapters on how to use the book and how to use homeopathy, especially in emergencies, this book emergencies listed from A to Z. It then has a materia medica, glossary, and index.

Here is an example of an emergency. SPRAIN – definition; signs, symptoms, and indicators; treatment; notes. The treatment includes an emergency medical response and then a homeopathic response. The homeopathic response has several different treatment options and information so you can choose the best one for your unique case.

If you are someone who panics and/or freezes in intense medical situations like me, then I highly recommend owning this book. It will be so helpful to grab so you can stay focused and calm in those situations.

As a mom, I find comfort in knowing that I don’t need to keep all this information in my head. I can just have a book to reference instead when things arise.
