As soon as your baby approaches six months old it can be so exciting to prepare for the introduction of solid foods. Baby-led weaning books are a great way to gather the necessary information you need as a parent for success.

How you start the journey by introducing solid foods to your baby can really set them up for the rest of their lives. New habits, tastes, and textures are all being introduced, which can be a bit overwhelming for your little one.

When our daughter started eating solids, we used a mix of purees and baby-led weaning tips. It was amazing to see how the baby-led weaning meals we gave her sparked her interest! She loved to explore the new foods, feeling, smelling, and eating them all by herself.

However, for this to happen we had to first be prepared to begin the baby-led weaning journey. This preparation began by reading baby-led weaning books, like the ones in this list!

As parents we learned key information, including the readiness signs: baby can sit up on their own unsupported, baby can hold food and bring it to their mouth, and baby can successfully move food around in their mouth to avoid choking or spitting it up.

As you read the baby-led weaning books below, you too will learn some vital information to start your baby-led weaning journey off on the right foot!

When I began the baby-led weaning journey with my daughter, one thing I began to struggle with was staying creative with meal ideas. I noticed that I kept feeding her the same foods because I had run out of ideas.

This cookbook was a lifesaver because it helped me come up with creative meal ideas and keep my daughter’s diet wholesome.

I also was able to introduce her to a lot more foods because of the cookbook recipe suggestions. Without this book, I would have struggled with how to prepare and cook several different foods!

This book is by the same authors as book number one on this list and is a great companion to it, so consider purchasing them together.
