The first Christian motherhood books that I recommend can be found at this blog post.
But, motherhood is a journey, and with the journey comes different resources that hit differently in different seasons of life! That’s why I had to write another blog post to include these books as well.
And, if you stick around long enough I bet I’ll have another list of Christian motherhood books in a year or two!
I love that these books are an encouragement to Christian moms of all circumstances, backgrounds, and present-day challenges. Motherhood looks different for everyone, but the one thing we do have in common is our belief in God!
Let’s dive in and check them out…

As Christian moms, we know that marriage must come first, even before our children. If our marriage is crumbling and falling apart at the seams, then the rest of the relationships in the family will as well.
I love that this book talks about marriage in the midst of motherhood. Too many Christian marriage books neglect to realize the impact motherhood plays in a marriage.
Motherhood is exhausting and it’s hard to date your spouse when you’re tired. You can follow her 21-day challenge to get back on track and have a marriage centered on Christ!

If you have been around the blog for a while, then you know that I love the Ludy family and their ministries. They have hearts set apart for Christ and are doing kingdom work every day!
This is another one of Leslie Ludy’s books that goes right back to the basics – living for Christ is glorious and rewarding! While raising children to love God is not easy, it is the greatest reward we can have as mothers.
This book will remind you of your own kingdom work that you are doing right now in your own home as a mother. It is one of the Christian motherhood books that you need to get your hands on today!

While this book is not specifically geared toward mothers I had to include it on this list. As a mother, I find myself confronted with “little” sins daily. I get envious of my husband, or I become easily angered at my children for a mistake made.
These small sins often add up to bigger sins later in our lives. Motherhood is an extremely self-less job and it can quickly make us bitter if we aren’t careful of these small sins that slowly creep into our lives.
You will be convicted if you read this book and in all the best ways. It is a great book to read if you have an open heart and are willing to examine it for your own “respectable” sins.

When you read the Bible as a mom, is it hard to figure out how it applies to your everyday life? I know it often does for me!
This book will help you make this connection – how the gospel ties into your life, your everyday moments, as a mother.
It has helped me notice Christ in the little moments of each day and be reminded that He sees all those actions, even if they go unnoticed by everyone else!

Sally Clarkson has so many wonderful books on Christian motherhood, that this is just another one to add to your bookshelf! I love that this book is so practical, giving little tidbits everywhere.
The book also has review questions and things to think about at the end of the chapter so that you actually take what you read and put it into action.
Sally takes such a gentle approach when she writes so that you don’t feel reprimanded but challenged and encouraged to go and fight the good fight! It is one of the Christian motherhood books I will enjoy reading more than once!

Motherhood is a high calling. It’s demanding of so much of us – our time, energy, body, soul, and spirit. It means that we are constantly in a place of sacrifice as mothers.
Right now, I currently have two under two. In fact, they are only about 13 months apart! Many days I feel as though I am just in survival mode, not being able to accomplish many tasks until both children are asleep in bed at the end of the day.
These years aren’t easy, but I don’t want to wish them away either. I want to enjoy each moment and suck it all in because it goes by fast! If you’re in a similar situation, then this is one of the Christian mother books you need to read today!

Every Christian parent should read this book to help them on their parenting journey. Tripp gives wonderful advice on essential principles that Christians need as they parent their children.
These topics include calling, grace, identity, character, control, rest, mercy, and more. If you are a working parent, this book helps you stay focused on your responsibility and help you remember that you need to be the one ultimately raising your child, not someone else.

Bonus: Night Light for Parents: A Devotional by Shirley Dobson and James C. Dobson
My husband and I love to read a devotional together before we go to sleep. It helps us connect with each other and give the day back to the Lord. This is a wonderful devotional to have on hand as you parent your children and one of the Christian motherhood books I recommend.
