We did it! We finally moved into our new house! It was special because it happened on our 5th wedding anniversary. But more on that in a bit…

Moving In
We moved into our house after Landon finished all the trim work and building the necessary things like pantry shelves! The basement is still unfinished so all the kids are in one small room, and we are in another.
We absolutely love living in our new house and love how well it functions for us! But there is still a piece of us that will always miss living in the tiny house. With so many memories and adventures that happened there, it will always be treasured. We are grateful we still have it as a guest house for visiting friends and family.
It took most of the month just to organize and move all of our things, get some furniture, and turn it into a home. The work still isn’t done but it never really is on the homestead! There are still doors to build, bookshelves to make, and a long list of projects for the outside of the house before winter comes.
Since moving in we have been setting up new family routines and structure. After the insanity of building the house over the last year, we have been craving it so much! It is so refreshing and life-giving to pour into our family culture again! And, we’ve just been enjoying these last warm days of summer before winter heads our way.
See you next month!
