The daffodils have bloomed, the dandelions are in full swing, and we are all enjoying the beautiful sunshine!
We were hoping to start our house build officially this month but unfortunately, things haven’t quite lined up yet. We are going to have to wait until next month for that! Otherwise, we stayed busy with lots of little tasks that are too boring to name here…but there are a few exciting things to report!
Don’t forget to Pin this image for later!
New Tractor
Landon purchased a new tractor this month and it has been a wonderful addition to the homestead. Although we are having difficulty in getting a specific part for it, it will help immensely with the house build over the summer.
Planting Outside
I have stayed very busy in the garden this month, it was quite overwhelming at times! The garden beds were all weeded and prepped. The cold-weather crops I started indoors were hardened off and planted. And some new warm-weather crops were started indoors: sunflowers, marigolds, okra, and cucumbers!
Next month the tomatoes will all be hardened-off and planted in the garden along with everything else…we might even get to harvest a few things too!
Got The Boat Out
We were able to get the boat out on the water and run it for the first time this year! It was fun going on a family boat ride at Otter Lake down the road and we hope to enjoy it at times this summer despite how busy we will be!
Thanks for reading, see you next month!
