This month has really been a blur as I reflect back on it. As we’ve learned to adjust to a family of five, we’ve also tried to enjoy some special moments like going back to our wedding location to celebrate our fourth anniversary.
The farm animals have all been doing well and we’ve really just been focusing on getting the house build moving along, as it’s going much slower than expected.
But here’s more on that…
Don’t forget to Pin this image for later!
House Build
Landon started the month by digging a trench from the barn to the new house for various piping. He also worked on completing the leach field for the septic system.
The concrete was poured for the ICF basement walls and foundation floor. We also had concrete poured for a concrete slab that the kids could play on. They have been enjoying it already!
Lots of progress should be made on the house next month as Landon is trying to close it all off before winter. It’s in God’s hands!
Harvest Season
We’ve been harvesting and preserving lots of apples, onions, carrots, and some tomatoes. I’m also trying my hand at making my own apple cider vinegar this year…that is if all the fruit flies in our house don’t drive me crazy first!
It’s almost time to get the garden ready for winter! Check back next month for more updates.
