It was crunch time with the house build this month! After a snowfall last month, the Lord blessed us with a warm stretch. We took advantage of it and Landon worked extremely hard to get the house closed off by winter!
We ended the month celebrating Thanksgiving with family and enjoying some much-needed rest as the snow began to settle in again.
Don’t forget to Pin this image for later!
House Build Complete For Winter
In order to get the house closed in for winter we had to rent a telehandler. It was a game-changer! We are so grateful for our church community and neighbors who stopped by to lend us a helping hand at critical moments!
God has provided for us in so many ways. Landon got the roof on, the windows in, and the doors installed! Now to rest and enjoy Christmas before tacking the inside of the house.
Butchering Rabbits
On the homestead front, we butchered over 40 meat rabbits. We also rebred all our rabbits and should be expecting new babies just before Christmas time, and another butchering session in April.
Deer Season Continues
Landon is continuing to hunt for deer on our land, but still, no bucks have passed through that we’ve seen. A big reason may be all the noise associated with the house build. There is still a bit of time to hopefully fill our tags.
Egg Stand Down
We took our egg stand down, a whole month later than last year, and began our winter egg share! Winter is here!
Now we can focus on getting ready for the Christmas season and enjoy some much-needed family time! See you next month!
